Participation in Co-Curricular Activities
The Sunshine International School believes that the classroom curriculum is only a part of the student educational experience. Because of this belief, each student is required to actively participate in co-curricular activities. Examples could include sports, musical activities, debate, study groups, drama, science clubs, hobbies and interests, and even community service.
The purpose is to allow students to expand their interests and fulfill their non-academic potential. Parents/guardians are asked to encourage their students to take full advantage of the co-curricular program.
Participation in co-curricular activities:
- provides opportunities to meet other students, develop social skills and feel more connected to the school
- helps develop initiative and confidence
- promotes organizational skills and team work
- provides opportunities to both learn from others and to be a role model
